Miley Cyrus has triumphed in her court battle over a racially insensitive photo she posed for earlier this year - a judge has thrown out a $4 billion lawsuit filed against her by a member of the Asian community in Los Angeles. The Hannah Montana star was sued by Lucie Kim on behalf of L.A.'s Asian citizens after a picture of the singer and her pals making a "slanty eyes" gesture surfaced online in February. Kim claimed the photo showed Cyrus and her pals mocking Asians and insisted she was emotionally  

Who would have thought that plastic wristbands could cause such controversy around playgrounds in the UK? Yet, these multi-coloured 'shag bands' are becoming another worrying insight into the world that pre-teens inhabit. The seemingly innocent bands get the name 'shag band' from the corresponding acts, one for each band colour which vary in explicitness.  

I'm slowly losing faith in Digg. For a site that calls such attention to the atrocities at Best Buy, why does Digg sponsor them as an advertiser? Oh, I know. It's all the $$$$ that Best Buy sends in.Digg are becoming corporate whores.  

One of four tour buses carrying the crew for the Miley Cyrus show crashed near Richmond, Va., Friday morning, killing the bus driver and injuring nine. Cyrus was riding in one of the other buses. Her show Sunday in Greensboro, N.C., will go on as planned.

Between band battles and Mickey Mouse, it's a big weekend for the brothers Welton. The Aurora natives and former East Aurora High School students both have major gigs. Josh Welton, 20, headlined the Battle of the Bands at St. Charles' Arcada Theatre on Friday.  

Dinwiddie, Va. The driver of a Miley Cyrus tour bus was killed Friday when the bus overturned, but the 16-year-old "Hannah Montana" star wasn't on board, Virginia State Police said. Sgt. Thomas Molnar said the bus ran off the left side of Interstate 85, struck an embankment and overturned. The accident occurred around 8:15 a.m. in Dinwiddie County, about 40 miles south of Richmond.  

Miley and the rest of her Cyrus family have posted a message her official website about the bus crash that occured earlier this morning south of Richmond, Virginia, which claimed the life of bus driver Bill Douglas . The Cyrus family posted, We are deeply saddened by the loss of Bill 'Uncle Bill' Douglas . Members of our tour are like members of our family.  

Holding back tears, Oprah Winfrey told her studio audience Friday that "prayer and careful thought" led her to decide to end her show in 2011 after a quarter-century on the air. Winfrey said "The Oprah Winfrey Show" had been her life and that she knew when it was time to say goodbye. "Twenty-five years feels right in my bones and feels right in my spirit," she said.

WASHINGTON (AP) Senate Democrats are pushing toward a crucial weekend test vote on the nearly $1 trillion health care overhaul bill. They need all the votes they can get to offset Republican opposition. It now appears at least two wavering moderates may be falling in line for this procedural vote on President Barack Obama's signature issue.
